Russia now ready to efficiently counter COVID-19

  • Suneel Anchipaka DC South Andaman along with his team yesterday visited  various PHC and sub centres at Hutbay, R K Pur and Harminder Bay & Handed over COVID Kits. The team also identified locations for setting up of COVID Care Centre and also identified boundaries of the declared Containment Zones. The DC(South Andaman) also took up various developmental issues of the island with the PRIs during the interaction.
  • Massive blaze engulfed the building of Covid-19 drug “Remdesivir” manufacturer Jubilant Life Sciences in Noida's industrial Sector 59 yesterday evening resulting in the evacuation of more than 100 people from the site. It took the Noida Fire Department close to three hours to douse the fire. and all the employees evacuated safely.
  • Russia will soon register a second COVID-19 vaccine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said speaking to the Russian Upper House lawmakers. The healthcare system is "now ready to efficiently counter COVID-19", he added. This comes after the Russian Health Ministry said that it will complete the registration of Vektor Centre's COVID-19 vaccine 'EpiVacCorona' by October 15.
